## DEPLOYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

### Prerequisites

### Install Dependencies

## TESTING THE APPLICATION

### 1. Start Backend
```bash
cd grimlock
docker-compose up -d

# Verify backend is running

### 2. Start Frontend

### 3. Test Flow

**User Registration:**
1. Go to http://localhost:3000
2. Click "Sign up"
3. Fill in: email, name, password, role
4. Should redirect to channels

**Create Channel:**
1. Click "+" next to Channels
2. Enter channel name
3. Optional: description, privacy
4. Opens new channel

**Send Messages:**
1. Type in message input
2. Press Enter to send
3. Try "@grimlock what is UTILEN?"
4. Should see AI response

**Test Real-Time:**
1. Open two browser windows
2. Login as different users
3. Send message in one window
4. Should appear instantly in other window

**Direct Messages:**
1. Messages will appear under "Direct Messages"
2. Click to open DM conversation
3. Real-time updates work here too

## TROUBLESHOOTING

**Frontend won't start:**

**WebSocket not connecting:**
- Check backend is running
- Check .env.local has correct API_URL

**Can't login:**
- Check backend logs: `docker-compose logs backend`
- Verify user was created in DB
- Check JWT token in localStorage
- Clear localStorage and try again
